At Diakonia, we not only teach people to fish, we invest in people<\/strong> by allowing them to build their businesses and “buy the fishing rods!”.<\/p>

Through the repayment of the thousands of investment loans we provide, we can sustainably<\/strong> continue to provide that opportunity again and again.<\/p>

Inauguration<\/h4>
The vision was born, and God opened the door so we could distribute 32 initial loans which became Diaconia - Association for the Development of Paraguay. Vocational training students could now have new opportunities to start a business. \n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
2013<\/div>

New Services<\/h4>
Diaconia expands its programs to include a holistic vision, to intentionally build partnerships with local churches to provide chaplaincy care to our clients and their families.<\/div><\/div><\/div>
2018<\/div>

Strategic Partnerships with Hope International and Global aid Network<\/h4>
Diacon\u00eda joins the Hope International Network, establishes a second branch outside of Asunci\u00f3n and achieves 98% operational self-sufficiency in our microfinance operations.\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
2020<\/div>

Online trainings<\/h4>
The first online courses for vocational training are held, and an emergency campaign is launched, providing food to 8,500 families in the context of COVID-19.<\/div><\/div><\/div>
2022<\/div>

Third branch<\/h4>
The third microfinance branch is inaugurated. Diacon\u00eda now has 48 staff. Savings Groups for rural communities was added as a new economic empowerment program facilitated by church partnerships in three regions of the country. <\/div><\/div><\/div>
2023<\/div>

Digital Transformation program initiated<\/h4>
Prepaid cards for digital loan disbursement are launched for the first time, reducing the risk of handling cash in communities and integrating our clients towards digital financial inclusion. The God size vision plan was created to reach 23,000 clients by 2028. <\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
