Savings Groups

ToolsNew habits for a change of life

Savings groups seek to fill the gaps in financial access in more rural and central regions where people have limited access to formal financial institutions. The programs seeks to equip participants with practical stewardship and leadership education accompanied by a material called “The House of Principles” provided by a trained facilitator.
Savings groups create financial resilience, and help starting entrepreneurs with the support system they need to develop. Savings groups create an impact for men, women, children, youth and adults.

Terms of 6 to 8 months
Cities: Asunción, Gran Asunción, San Pedro,
Guairá, Caaguazú, Concepción and expanding

Groups of 15-20 people meet regularly to save money, pray, and share Gospel.

We use the “House of Principles” training materials (shared with us by Hope International and culturally adapted to Paraguay’s context ) to teach development pillars of leadership, transparency, and discipleship.

The group creates its own self governance system, communal savings opportunity and lending regulations.

We Make an ImpactProviding Christ-centered services

Diaconía’s holistic strategy focuses in helping people overcome the effects of poverty. We support families by providing them with tools to flourish with material, spiritual, emotional and social growth.
Our goal is for every person living in poverty in Paraguay to understand the significance of God’s love, restore their dignity, and find hope for a better future.
